Who needs heels! Rag and Bone models strut their stuff in label's urban-inspired New York Fashion Week show wearing chunky sneakers and strappy sandals
- The trendy brand paired the chunky footwear with delicate dresses and long silk bomber jackets
- Designers Marcus Wainwright and David Neville invited the Brooklyn Youth Choir to perform an original composition by musician Thom Yorke
- Zac Posen also showed his spring/summer 2016 collection on Monday night
Marcus Wainwright and David Neville, the designer duo behind fashion label Rag and Bone, will no doubt be the toast of the fashion elite come spring/summer 2016, after they cast aside sky-high heels in favor of a selection of funky flats for their New York Fashion Week catwalk show on Monday night.
Hosted in St Ann's Warehouse in Brooklyn, the show played host to some of the fashion industry's most sought-after front row guests, from Anna Wintour to Hailey Baldwin.
The show itself featured an urban-inspired mix of chic and delicate midi dresses - which were paired chunky high-top sneakers, complete with brightly-colored laces - silk bomber jackets, oversized anoraks and street-style accessories.

Happy feet: The models at the Rag and Bone show were treated to sneakers and sandals instead of sky-high heels
Urban chic: The collection was all about contrasts - designers Marcus Wainwright and David Neville paired form-fitting skirts and crop tops with chunky high-tops and loose-fitting silk bomber jackets
Bold and bright: While much of the collection such to a monochromatic color scheme, the designs were peppered with pops of vibrant yellows in the form of bold knitwear
And while much of the collection stuck to a monochromatic color scheme, the designs were peppered with pops of vibrant yellows, reds and oranges in the form of chunky-knit sweaters, loose-fitting jackets and form-fitting midi-length dresses.
In anticipation of the mild spring weather, the collection also featured several crop top designs, as well as dresses with intricate cut-out details, and thin sweater dresses with a deep V-neck that were worn with off the shoulder to one side.
Adding a somewhat ethereal edge to the show was the Brooklyn Youth Choir who, while concealed behind a sheer black curtain, performed a haunting composition created especially for the event by musician Thom Yorke.
Combined with the warehouse's incredible acoustics, the spine-tingling tune served to add an almost eerie reverence to the show's atmosphere.

Bright white: In contrast to the dark show space, many of the models showcased gleaming white designs, from over-sized jackets to sheer shirts and vests
Warmers: To combat the potential springtime chill, the collection also included plenty of outerwear, including metallic bomber jackets and long, loose anoraks
Clean and simple: The models' hair was pinned back in a messy knot, in order to draw maximum attention to their large hoop earrings

ZAC POSEN
The king of dresses, Zac Posen, took over Grand Central’s Vanderbilt Hall to show his spring/summer 2016 on Monday night in front of many of his red carpet loyalists: Christina Hendricks, Jennifer Hudson, and Amy Schumer among them.
But the front row was not what stole Posen's New York Fashion Week show.
For the first time, a beautiful selection of breezy cotton sundresses, which the designer described as a 'new attitude' for the eveningwear-heavy brand, put daywear comfort ahead of after-dark dressing.
