She's 17 and living the dream as one of the most in demand actresses in the industry.

So while she may not be the average teenager, Bella Thorne got a chance to be prom queen for an evening at the Harper's Bazaar Icons event on Wednesday.

Gaining approval for her gothic ensemble from boyfriend Gregg Sulkin, 23, Bella received an affectionate show of appreciation as her beau planted a kiss on her cheek.

Posing for pictures on arrival to The Plaza Hotel for the party, which was sponsored by Infor, Samsung, COVERGIRL, and Kit and Ace, the couple cut a colour coordinated figure.

Looking very dapper, Gregg wore a two piece black suit with a crisp white shirt and patent brogues.

Meanwhile Bella lived up to the definition of her name in the multi-layered strapless mullet dress.

Adding height to her outfit, Thorne wore a pair of Saint Laurent heeled ankle boots as she clutched onto a small handbag also by the fashion house.

Keeping her jewellery minimal, Bella wore silver hoop earrings with a wristwatch and large ring.

The red-haired beauty fashioned her luscious locks in a loosely curled centre part ponytail.

Bella recently discussed her relationship with Greg in an interview with Teen Vogue.

Revealing that they enjoy nights in, Thorne told the publication: 'I'm much more of a homebody and so is Gregg. He just wants to stay in and watch Netflix. It's been great so far.'

She added: 'We're just hanging out, having fun, and getting to know each other. We've agreed to not see other people and are taking things slowly so we can see where it goes over the next few months.'
