Anna Kendrick shares a delicious dessert with feminist icon Gloria Steinem in cute new Kate Spade campaign video
In Anna Kendrick's latest video for Kate Spade, she becomes unlikely dining buddies with none other than feminist icon Gloria Steinem.
This is Anna's third clip in her #MissAdventure series for the brand, which sees the 30-year-old in a series of unfortunate, awkward events - all while fabulously dressed, of course.
Only this time, the awkward events lead to one very fortunate meeting with Gloria, 81, with whom she ends up sharing dessert at New York City's Russian Tea Room.

This particular ad explores what it is like for a woman dining alone - which may feel uncomfortable for some in 2015, but Gloria argues that society has come along way in even letting women eat out by themselves at all.
'When I started out, you couldn’t go into a certain number of hotels alone if you were a female,' she explained in another clip she recorded for Kate Spade. 'You couldn’t be seated alone. There was something scandalous about it. Finally, if you were seated alone, it was by the kitchen. So it is actually a civil right to dine alone.'
In Anna's video, the young actress isn't actually dining alone on purpose, as she explains as she walks through the restaurant with the maître d'.
All alone: In the new video, she is going out to eat at the Russian Tea Room in New York City when her date stands her up
Bored: She doesn't seem to know what to do with herself while out to eat alone, with only her purse puppy for company
Keeping busy: She tales off her coat, talks to her dog, and attempts to write things down in a notebook
'My date cancelled! Well, that's perfect,' she says, getting off the phone and removing her sunglasses, furry earmuffs, and red leather gloves.
The maître d' then stops her, telling her that, unfortunately, someone is seated at her regular table. Anna glances over to see a woman in her booth, reading a newspaper.
Instead, she sits in the next booth over, where she puts down her bag with a puppy peeking out the top. Alone, she doesn't seem to know what to do with herself. She puts her phone away, removes her faux-fur-lined coat, and takes out a notepad and pen to keep busy.
'What was that business venture I told you about?' she asks her dog, who, of course, meets her with silence. 'I said remind me to write it down. Oh, you weren't listening. That's fine.'
Inanimate friends: She even tried to talk to her Kate Spade clutch, which is shaped like a gnome, for entertainment
Get drinking: At one point, a waiter brings out a row of shots, which Anna accepts with glee
Her regular table: Several times, Anna peeks over at the mystery woman sitting in the next booth, where Anna herself usually sits
Put off by the lack of communication with her pup, she puts her second bag, Kate Spade's whimsical $398 gnome-shaped clutch, on the table and speaks to it instead: 'You have a lot of glitter on your hat. Is that intentional?'
Looking a bit bored, she tries to take a peek at the diner in the next booth before her waiter comes over to apologize for the inconvenience and offer a row of shots on the house. Anna looks excited by the free booze.
When the waiter then asks her if she'll be ordering the usual, she tells him she'll actually just be having dessert, before joking calling after him: 'Bring a fork for my friend!'
Who's there? She even uses a Kate Spade compact mirror to scope out the diner behind her
Shhh: In one cute moment, she goes to tell her gnome bag something - but covers her dogs ears with earmuffs first, because he 'can't keep a secret'
#AccessoryLove: She also shares a picture of the gnome bag on Instagram with the hashtag #datingmypurse
Anna, fidgeting, puts her coat and sunglasses back on and picks up a compact mirror, trying to see over her shoulder at the woman in the next booth over.
'Can I tell you something?' she then asks the gnome, before noticing the dog in her bag. She puts earmuffs on the dog's head while conspiratorially telling the gnome that the dog can't keep a secret, then switching to a flirty tone: 'I actually cancelled my date tonight for you.'
Taking the joke further, she snaps a pic of the gnome and shares it on Instagram with the hashtag #datingmypurse, wondering out loud: 'Is that funny or kind of worrying?'
Hi there! Finally, Gloria spots Anna spying and walks over to her table - much to Anna's surprise
In awe: Anna panics, explaining that she was missing her usual table - but Gloria wouldn't care about that because she's 'changing the world'
Fast friends: She then invites Gloria to join her and share her dessert - which she has finished alone in the past
Finally, peeking through the plants between the booths once more, she sets her eyes on Gloria - who looks right back at her. The Ms. Magazine founder gets up from her booth, carrying her own Kate Spade bag as she walks over to Anna's table - where Anna's dessert has arrived.
Anna quickly apologizes for peeping, rambling on about how she usually sits at that table and is alone because her date canceled.
'Sorry, I don't know why I'm telling you this - you're, like, changing the world and I'm worrying about my table,' she concludes, clearly flusters.
Gloria, all grace, replies: 'Not at all. This looks like heaven to me.'
Such a fan: Anna recently attended Kate Spade's presentation at New York Fashion Week (pictured)
Style knows no age: Earlier this year, Karlie Kloss, 23, starred in a Kate Spade ad with 94-year-old fashion icon Iris Apfel
Anna invites Gloria to join her, knocking her purse off the table to make room so they can both dig into the towering display of profiteroles - which Anna admits she has finished by herself in the past.
The fashionable video, titled 'The Best Company', is also shoppable, as the brand includes links to every item featured in it - including Anna's jewelry, compact, and $728 coat.
It's also not the first ad Anna's made that spotlights two generations of women connecting. Earlier this year, she appeared in a clip with comedian Lily Tomlin.
This spring, Karlie Kloss, 23, also teamed up with a stylish senior for Kate Spade, starring with 94-year-old fashion icon Iris Apfel in a print campaign.
