Gemma Arterton looks the ultimate 1940s pin-up as she films intense scenes alongside Sam Claflin for new movie Their Finest Hour and a Half

She's currently in the process of filming new period comedy, Their Finest Hour and a Half.

And Gemma Arterton seemed well into her new role as she looked to be filming some intense scenes alongside co-star Sam Claflin in East London on Wednesday.

Despite having a rain machine held in her direction by a member of the crew, the 29-year-old star maintained her professional demeanour as she ran through the wet spritz dressed in a 1940s-style ensemble.

Each look saw Gemma don a pair of sheer stockings, while her hair remained styled in classic waves.

Her co-star Sam, 29, was dressed equally dapper in a pin-stripe three-piece suit as he appeared to be walking away from Gemma's character with an angered expression on his face.

In an attempt to recreate the era of the movie, which is set during World War II, the East London street they were filming on was plastered with posters that read, 'Britain Ready P.M. Vows,' whilst old-fashioned cars drove by.
