She has kept her weight down ever since she came to fame in the 1999 comedy American Pie.

But on Tuesday Tara Reid appeared thinner than usual as she sat down for an al fresco lunch in West Hollywood with a mystery man.

The 39-year-old Sharknado star revealed nearly skeletal arms as she was slouched over while wearing a tank top over a tight tube top.

It was clear the blonde beauty was happy showing off her trim limbs in an on-trend outfit of layered little tops and ripped jeans with a yellow Gucci belt.

The shoulder bone of the Big Lebowski star could be seen clearly as could her elbow bone and back bones.

When the New Jersey native stood up, her very narrow waistline could be seen clearly as her tops were crop tops and her jeans were low rising.

By looking at her table, it was obvious the American Reunion standout was not consuming too many calories.

It looked as if she was sipping a glass of white wine and picking at a gourmet salad at what appeared to be an Italian restaurant.

Her pal was more filled out with muscles apparent under his grey T-shirt and torn jeans.

A beige hat concealed his face as did dark sunglasses.

In 2014 the Josie And The Pussycats star offered an explanation as to why she was so trim.

'I'm just a small-boned girl,' she told TMZ.

'I eat, I eat, I eat. Some people that eat too much, you yell at them that they’re fat. You want to get mad at me because I’m skinny? Great, get mad at me. I am what I am.'

Reid admitted to getting a botched liposuction job in 2006.

Also last year she told another outlet, 'I laugh when people say I starve myself – it’s almost ridiculous, I love food. Being thin is in my genetics, it’s not my fault I’m this size. I have a really fast metabolism. People get mad that I’m so thin but there’s nothing I can do about it.

'My weight hasn’t fluctuated in years – I’m petite and I’ve always been this way. I don’t pig out on cupcakes every day, but I love making Italian dishes like Parmesan chicken and lasagna. I’m not going to deprive myself of a burger and fries.'
