She was famously slammed for flashing too much flesh pre-watershed on The One Show at the start of the year.

But it seems Rita Ora's well and truly learnt her lesson as she proved when she unveiled her choice of attire for her Good Morning America appearance in New York on Wednesday.

The Body On Me hit-maker concealed every inch of her svelte figure in a black form-fitting outfit with comprised tailored culottes and a heavily embellished knitted roll-neck top.

Rita, 24, cut an understated figure in the simple but stylish ensemble as she greeted the excitable crowd at the programme's Times Square studio.

As keen as ever to make a fashion statement as she took a mini break from the circus that is NYFW, The X Factor judge slipped her feet into a pair of black leather platform-heeled ankle boots which significantly lifted her frame.

The hair chameleon opted for her favourite platinum blonde barnet which she wore poker straight and slicked back off her face.

Rita appeared to have picked up some tips from the NYFW models as she sashayed into the studio with sass.

She couldn't hide her happiness at the sight of the many fans as she sported a wide teethy grin.

Rita performed her new single - Body On Me featuring Chris Brown - which delighted at-home viewers who praised her on Twitter.

'@GMA @RitaOra that performance was off the chain,' one wrote.

Following the performance, Rita headed back to her hotel across town, no doubt for an outfit change.

She came over a little camera shy as she donned a large pair of cat-eye-shaped sunglasses for the short walk from her vehicle to her accommodation.

Rita has been in New York attending various NYFW shows which has conveniently coincided with promotional trail appearances.

She's been touring the States for the past few weeks, promoting the steamy collaboration.

She's also been busy with her commitments on The X Factor, jetting back and forth between the US and home to shoot scenes for the show alongside fellow judges Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Nick Grimshaw.

She's not stopped as on Tuesday, fresh from the front row of the Vera Wang show, she flew to Washington D.C. for a one-off gig at U Street Music Hall.

Despite her hectic schedule, Rita pulled out all the stops for the intimate performance.

She changed out of a black semi-sheer mini dress and into a gold and silver striped mini skirt which she teamed with a matching jacket.
