Renee Zellweger cuts a low-key figure as she's pictured sneaking out of ITV studios 'after attending research meeting' for third Bridget Jones movie

Rumours that a third movie in the much-loved Bridget Jones series is set to grace cinema screens with its presence heightened when leading star Renee Zellweger was spotted sneaking out of the ITV studios in London after supposedly attending a research meeting on Wednesday.

The real-life alter-ego of Helen Fielding’s hopeless romantic cut a low-key figure as she was photographed hoping to make a quick exit out of the central London building.

Renee, 46, hoped to go incognito as she was dressed in an ensemble which wouldn't have looked out of place on fictional Bridget.

The Golden-Globe winner slipped into a pair of comfortable grey combat trousers, teaming them with an equally practical waterproof jacket which featured a hood.

A pair of bright pink running trainers and a black fabric bag slung across the back of her body topped off her look.

Her choice of attire worked wonders for keeping her figure under wraps as it was recently claimed she's intentionally gaining weight before reuniting with the unlucky-in-love fictional character.

Renee hoped to conceal her face as best as possible with a pair of dark sunglasses and a navy sports cap.

Renee's sighting comes amid rife speculation she's to sit in on editorial briefings held by the Good Morning Britain and Lorraine teams for research purposes before filming for the third installment - provisionally titled Bridget Jones’s Baby - eventually gets underway.

According to Daily Mail columnist Sebastian Shakespeare, staff at the building are under strict instruction to ensure her visits remain a secret.

A source said: 'We are all under strict instruction not to take any pictures of Renee. And above all, not to put anything out on social media about her being here.
