Jarryd Hayne has been romantically linked to US pop star Dinah Jane Hansen, member of successful female pop group Fifth Harmony.

The 27-year-old, who just made his NFL debut for the San Francisco 49ers this week, has sparked rumours he's dating the 18-year-old singer after they were photographed together in a cosy selfie.

The pair were pictured cuddling up in the tunnel of the 49ers' Levi's Stadium, most likely after the team's victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Monday evening.

Are they an item? Jarryd Hayne has been romantically linked to US pop star Dinah Jane Hansen, member of successful female pop group Fifth Harmony, after the pair were pictured looking cosy on Monday night

Hansen became part of Fifth Harmony during the second season of the TV talent show X-Factor USA in 2012.

The singer, who is of Polynesian and Tongan heritage, is the youngest member of the pop group who have enjoyed global chart success this summer with their hit track, Worth It.

Dinah-Jane appears to have a type as she previously dated her high school football player boyfriend, Siope Folau.

She reportedly dumped football player Nela Otukolo earlier this year amid rumours he had been unfaithful.

The blonde beauty has six siblings and is believe to have been raised as Mormon, before becoming a Christian.

Hayne is a known Christian and is a member of the Australian Pentecostal megachurch, Hillsong.

He became more vocal about his faith after he was shot during a night out in Kings Cross years ago, and then found his way back into form (and God) inFiji at the 2008 World Cup.

Jarryd has previously been linked to So You Think You Can Dance star Rhiannon Villareal.

Meanwhile, Hayne made his NFL debut for the San Francisco 49ers on Monday evening, where he rushed for 13 yards with a 9-yard gain as his longest run, while also catching a 7-yard pass, in San Francisco's 20-3 win.

Unfortunately for the Australian, his first touch of the ball was a fumble and turnover to the Minnesota Vikings.

The 27-year-old's dream quickly turned into a nightmare when he attempted to catch a punt from the Vikings' Jeff Locke in the first quarter and dropped the ball.

After the game, he admitted he was furious with himself over a costly mistake as he told reporters,'I can't go back in time and take it back.

'Even when I walked off after the fumble and thought "could it get any worse?".'

Hayne, the son of former professional rugby league player, Manoa Thompson, was one of three children raised by his single mother in a small red brick commission house in Minto, in Sydney's outer south-western suburbs.

He attended Westfield Sports High, but dropped out of the high school early on to pursue a career in rugby league.

Jarryd then made an incredible switch from the Australian game to the NFL, with the full support of millions from his home country.
