Flower power! Gigi Hadid wows as she struts her stuff in the whimsical and very tropical Anna Sui parade at New York Fashion Week

Aloha indeed.

They may have been in New York, but Gigi Hadid helped transport the audience of Anna Sui's spring presentation to the tropical islands of Hawaii.

The designer's New York Fashion Week show was more like a stylish tiki party than it was a catwalk show on Wednesday and Gigi was the head hula girl.

The 20-year-old showed why she is one of the world's most sought after model's as she and her seemingly never ending legs took to the catwalk.

Gigi looked like a cross between a garden fairy and a luau party princess - or at least the fashion re-envisaged one - as she walked the runway in a fake flower adorned number.

The second generation model - mom Yolanda Foster was also a cover girl - wore a beach-inspired look featuring floral shorts with a sequinned sheer bikini cover-up.

All hail Gigi Hadid, Queen of NYFW! She's not only front row at many of the shows, she equally been working them as well. Here she's rocking a floral, sequined, fringed, sheer (phew that's alot of trends!) dress from Anna Sui's spring 2016 collection.

It's definitely giving us major tropical, Hawaiian vibes and we can see that being a fun piece to wear on your Honeymoon or to a tiki party.

She wore the top, which featured stylised flowers and fringed edge, over what appeared to be a black bikini top.

Continuing with the tropical island feel of the ensemble, the star's hair was styled so it sat flat against the top of her head and then fell to her shoulders in haphazard small loose waves as if she had just spent the day by the ocean.

Making the look a little more glamorous, Gigi along with the other models wore dark rich lipstick colours with exaggerated brows.

To get in the tropical mood, as she had her makeup done backstage, Gigi wore a pink and white orchid lei.

As makeup artist Erin Parsons worked her magic, the now very experienced model helped her out by holding her hand up to block the bright lights so the artist could make sure her eyebrows were just right.

It has been a very busy Fashion Week for the 20-year-old who has been strutting her stuff on the runways for the likes of Diane Von Furstenberg, Tommy Hilfiger and Jeremy Scott as well as being a VIP at the many after parties.

Gigi's sister Bella has also starred in her fair share if shows as has her bestie Kendall Jenner.
