She might be a Hollywood star, but that doesn't mean Jennifer Garner isn't still obliged to do the school run - come rain or shine.

The 43-year-old actress was seen stepping out in Los Angeles' uncharacteristic downpours on Tuesday morning as she took her two daughters, Violent, nine, and Seraphina, six, to school.

The 13 Going on 30 actress showcased her natural beauty during the walk as she ditched the make-up in favour of a fresh-faced look.

The mother-of-three looked ready to take on the day in a pair of grey cropped leggings and a printed navy raincoat, whilst holding a large umbrella above her head to protect her brunette locks, which had been swept back into an easy ponytail.

Always the doting mum, the actress was seem leading the way for her two girls, as she checked the roads and kept them close.

Her daughters shielded their school uniforms beneath colourful raincoats, with Seraphina opting for extra protection with a hood and an animated pink umbrella.

But despite the torrential weather, the girls didn't appear to let it rain on their parade as they smiled and chatted together before heading off for their day of learning.

Jennifer and Ben announced they were divorcing on June 30, and despite the fact they engaged in a two-hour therapy session together last week, sources close to the couple were quick to shoot down rumours of a possible reconciliation.

An insider at People dashed hopes that the pair would work it out, claiming: 'There is no reconciliation.'

They added: 'They are working with a professional because there are emotions involved and they want to make this transition as easy as possible for their family.'

Meanwhile, a separate source told Radar that while the parents work hard on their joint relationship with their children, 'Jen doesn’t care who Ben dates or hooks up with.'

'She just doesn’t want the kids to be asking any questions about it. There is no chance Jen and Ben will get back together and she finally feels that she deserves to be happy without him.'

After the couple announced they were divorcing, reports surfaced claiming that Ben was involved with their children's 28-year-old nanny Christine Ouzounian.

But a representative for Ben in a statement released to MailOnline in late July denied the story and said: 'It's garbage.'
