Kate Mara blazes in tailored black dress while Jennifer Hudson and Hailey Baldwin wow in white at DKNY show during fashion week

She was the toast of Toronto, delighting the crowds at the city's international film festival while promoting her new film Man Down.

Kate Mara carried on the glamour as she joined Jennifer Hudson, Hailey Baldwin at the DKNY Women's Spring/Summer 2016 show during New York Fashion Week on Wednesday.

While Kate looked sharp in a tailored black blazer dress, Jennifer and Hailey turned heads in all-white pantsuits that featured slightly differing details.

Kate was all aces in the fitted ensemble with sleeves rolled up past her wrists and an above-the-knee hemline, as well as a double row of vertical black buttons.

The 32-year-old actress had just flown into the Big Apple from the Toronto International Film Festival, where she attended the premiere of the post-apocalyptic thriller Man Down with co-star Shia LaBeouf.

If Kate was feeling weary from traveling, the excitement of the runway show sure put a grin on her face as she stepped to her front seat in pointy black pumps.

The other VIPs - Jennifer and Hailey - were decked out in white and ivory that made them stand out in this crowd of fashion watchers.

Jennifer, 34, clothed her curves in a cream-coloured, crew-neck knit top paired with high-waisted trousers that stopped just short of her ankles, and thrown over her shoulders was a chic white blazer.

The Dreamgirls star added white pumps and just a sprinkling of jewelry.

Hailey, meanwhile, continued that theme in a white blazer matched with an ivory top made from a thin, luxurious fabric and white wide-legged trousers.

The hems of her trousers puddled at her feet, making whatever high-heeled sandals she was wearing unseen.

This was their first DKNY collection to be seen at fashon week and the pressure to deliver was great.

Chow and Osborne's new look was a blend of the styles they have been creating for their own label Public School but also was influenced by Donna Karan and past DKNY designs, as The New York Times reported.

The colour scheme included black and white, grey and blue, and were targeted at the working affluent woman.
