And Naomi Campbell made another daring move on Wednesday when she took on the might of Instagram - by posting a topless picture of herself.

The 45-year-old shared a photograph from a daring new shoot for Garage magazine - in which she bares her breasts.

The catwalk queen looks stunning in the provocative image, shot by Mert and Marcus.

Alongside the picture, she wrote: 'freethenipple', in reference to the campaign first started by Demi Moore's daughter Tallulah Willis, whose topless pictures were removed from Instagram.

And it wasn't long before Naomi herself was censored - with the site taking down her snap within a few hours.

Explaining themselves following a previous outcry over a ban on artistic nudes, a spokesperson for the site said: 'We know that there are times when people might want to share nude images that are artistic or creative in nature, but for a variety of reasons, we don’t allow nudity on Instagram.'
