She's had her work cut out with the New York Fashion Week party scene this past week.

And, overdue some downtime, Alessandra Ambrosio spent a relaxed day with her fiancé Jamie Mazur in the Big Apple on Thursday.

The 34-year-old model and actress appeared to be heading home with a takeaway as she strolled along with an affectionate hand on his arm.

Alessandra looked her usual stunning self and showcased her long lithe legs in a pair of ripped denim hotpants.

She teamed the tiny shorts with a white tee by Z-Supply which beautifully complemented her flawless, bronzed complexion.

The Brazilian beauty rounded off her causal day look with a pair of brown leather thong sandals which perfectly matched the over-sized leather shopper slung over her shoulder.

She rounded off her laid-back outfit with a pair of stylish mirrored sunglasses, several bangles and a delicate necklace.

Alessandra, one of Victoria's Secret's most famous Angels, wore her silky smooth brunette tresses swept back off her face in a straight style which cascaded down past her shoulders.

In one hand she carried her phone and with the other she clung on tightly to her man, who looked equally relaxed in a T-shirt, jeans and trainers.

The businessman wore his sunglasses tucked into his tee and was responsible for their take-home meal.

Alessandra has been enjoying the shows from the sidelines this time around but will return to New York in a couple of months for the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on December 8.

The mother-of-two is also transitioning to acting with two movies in the pipeline.

She will appear with Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell in the comedy Daddy's Home, due out on December 25.

Alessandra has been engaged to businessman Jamie since May 2008 and they share two children - daughter Anja, seven, and three-year-old son Noah.
