Bizarre lingerie which comes with a detachable cat's tail and a pair of cat ears has become a fashion hit in Japan.

The animal-themed clothing was such a sell-out success in the country that an entire range of cat-inspired underwear has now emerged for sale.

Shoppers can even choose to style themselves on different types of cat with tabby and Siamese among popular options.

Felissimo, the company that makes them, sells the collection in their online shop and says they are fast becoming their most popular item.

The entire range, part of Felissimo’s Flufeel intimate apparel brand, is together with other cat-inspired lingerie, part of the Felissimo’s Nekobu (Cat Club) line.

They sell for around £20 each with a wide range of sizes said to be available.
