Kiernan Shipka goes from girly to glam as she puts on an experimental display in neon green before attending Harper's Bazaar event in a shimmering strapless dress

She may only be 15 years old but Kiernan Shipka is already a style icon in her own right.

The Mad Men actress - who is best known for playing Sally Draper in the AMC series - has proved her fashion credentials after making various appearances at New York Fashion Week over the past few days.

Kiernan showed the true extent of her impeccable dress sense as she nailed the difficult task of transforming from girly to glam within hours on Wednesday.

The trendy teen cut a playful figure as she was spotted out and about in the SoHo district of the Big Apple dressed in a neon green roll neck top and a high-waisted navy A-line skirt which featured decorative nude-stripe details.

Kiernan appeared to have no trouble walking in her high block heels as she confidently strutted around the streets in the pretty bow-detail shoes.

Later on, she once again showcased her envy-inducing wardrobe as she slipped on a shimmering blue strapless frock to attend Harper's Bazaar's star-studded Icons party.

The young talented actress gave the world's fashion elite - including Kendall Jenner and Mariah Carey - a run for their money as she turned heads in the blue metallic frock.

She sported an identical hairdo to the one she championed earlier in the day - a slick updo - with a light layer of make-up accentuating her soft facial features.

A nude lip and strong bushy brows completed Kiernan's look.

Since the final series of Mad Men - in which she has starred since the tender age of eight - wrapped in May, Kiernan has been filming a horror film with American actress Emma Roberts, 24, which is entitled February. 

Set at an all girls boarding school, February tells the story of two women bound together by a series of sinister events.

The horror-thriller premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday.
