'I just say "Jenner"': Kris admits she can't call ex-husband Caitlyn by her new name

Kris Jenner can't call Caitlyn Jenner by her new name.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star admitted to Access Hollywood that she finds it hard to refer to her ex-husband - who was known as Bruce Jenner before her gender transition - by the moniker she chose for herself.

She instead addresses her by her surname.

Asked if she is able to address her former spouse as Caitlyn, she said: 'No. I say ''Jenner''.'

The 59-year-old matriarch admitted the changes Caitlyn has undergone have been 'really, really' hard for her family to deal with, but she has learned from the experience.

'It's hard, you know, it's really, really hard. What I have realised in all of this is that everyone handles stuff a different way. No matter what it is, you know. We're all people. We all have different emotions,' Kris said.

And despite their problems, the former couple are growing close again as Kris is 'getting to know' Caitlyn - with whom she has her two youngest children, Kendall, 19, and 18-year-old Kylie.

She's also been discovering how she is different to Bruce.

She admitted: 'I just thought she would be a little bit different.

'Bruce had a distinct personality and, you know, had definite characteristics. And Caitlyn has some different ones, I feel.'

Asked if she could ever be 'great friends' and 'curl up on the couch' with Caitlyn, she added: 'I don't know about curl up on the couch, but she came over for a drink last night. And that was nice.'

Kris in the same interview said she got 'really upset' when she found out that Kylie got lip fillers at age 17.

She said she 'wasn't completely supportive,' but added: 'Once that was done, it's just my kid. I love my kid. We make mistakes.'

Kris also said she was 'always hopeful' that her eldest child Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick would resolve their issues after separating a few months ago.

Kourtney, 36, and Scott, 32, welcomed son Reign Aston in December. They also have a five-year-old son, Mason, and three-year-old daughter, Penelope, together.

'He's a great dad and he loves the kids and he loves Kourtney,' Kris said.

She added: 'I love him.'
