Gordon scores record-equalling 45 points in NBA match... and still ends up on losing side

Great Britain basketball guard Ben Gordon equalled an NBA record by scoring all nine of his three-point attempts.

London-born Gordon scored a total of 45 points but his Detroit Pistons team still lost 116-115 to the Denver Nuggets.

He said: 'It's just unfortunate after such a great effort by our team, and even though I had that many points, a lot of guys hit big shots, so it was pretty disappointing for us.'
