The who's who of the showbiz world has seemingly stepped out on stage with her.

But Rihanna is adamant she'll never join the string of stars who perform with Taylor Swift on her world tour.

Speaking in an exclusive cover interview for NME magazine, she explained that the pair are worlds apart when it comes to their brands - insisting the Love Story hitmaker is a role model, while she is most certainly not.

Speaking candidly, the 27-year-old explained: 'I don’t think I would. I just don’t think it makes sense. 

'I don’t think our brands are the same: I don’t think they match, I don’t think our audiences are the same. In my mind she’s a role model, I’m not.'

The saucy snap which accompanies the chat appears to back up her claims - with the star defiantly smoking while wearing a skimpy ripped T-shirt.

It's not the first time the Bajan beauty - famous for her racy onstage persona and barely-there outfits, has insisted she is a performer, not someone to morally guide her young fans.

Speaking last year to USA Today, she explained she hated the term 'role model', and that people should always try to live their own lives.

She explained: 'I don’t like to use that word because people have their own opinion on what that means to them. 

'I can’t really say I’m a role model. I’m not perfect. I’m not trying to sell that.

'I want people to have fun but be responsible, protect themselves and be in control of your life. You can never judge people. I always made that a point. You never know what someone is going through.'

And she certainly seems to be focusing on fun over work in recent weeks.

The star has stepped out almost every night on the New York club scene and has set tongues wagging after being linked to rapper Travis Scott.

The pair were allegedly caught on camera sharing a passionate clinch after she supported him at his sold out shows in the Big Apple earlier this month.
