Woman vs SUV: Parking space hogger tries blocking the vehicle with her BODY to save the spot... and she wins the stand-off

  • Woman used her body to save an empty parking spot in Denver, Colorado
  • SUV was attempting to back into the spot and the woman got in the way
  • The SUV did push her back a bit but then drove off and parked elsewhere
  • Incident occurred even though there was multi-story parking garage nearby

The residents of Colorado are passionate about the outdoors, the Denver Broncos, legalized marijuana and, apparently, their right to physically protect public parking spots at all costs.

A man shot video of a physical altercation that took place between a woman and an SUV on the streets of Denver earlier this month and posted the footage to YouTube.

The woman in the video was intent on saving an empty parking spot on the side of a busy street, so she stood in the space and held her ground while the SUV unsuccessfully attempted to back in.

While the SUV was backing up, the woman said: 'Move it lady. You're going to run me over.

'You're running me over lady.'

The driver of the SUV did push the woman back a few feet with the large vehicle before stopping.

A man got out of another vehicle after it pulled up and approached the woman in the SUV.

He said: 'I've got all day, so if you don't want to move I can sit here all day.'

The SUV's driver finally had enough and drove off to find parking elsewhere.

The man who recorded the video said: 'Some might say that backing slowly into this crazy woman is assault, but the lady pounding on the vehicle is also considered vandalism.

'This was such a petty fight, especially considering the fact that there was a multi-story parking garage behind me as I was recording this.

'Let's be real. If she got that spot, her tires would've most likely been slashed.'
