For 2014, Mississippi (bottom left) and Arkansas (bottom right) are among the poorest states, while Maryland (top right) and New Jersey (top left) are among the richest states on the list. The survey also found that the United States added 3.2 million jobs to the workforce in 2014 bringing the total to 139 million people being employed.

Authorities have identified 'Baby Doe' who was found dead on a Boston Harbor beach last month, a law enforcement official says. The girl has been named as Bella (inset and left), the daughter of 40-year-old Rachelle Bond (bottom left and the mother pictured with her daughter center). The official said police searched a Boston home in Mattapan on Thursday and have been in contact with family members. Bond and her boyfriend, 35-year-old Michael McCarthy (top left), have been arrested in connection with the girl's death. McCarthy faces a murder charge while Bond faces a charge of accessory after the fact of murder. They are expected to be arraigned on Monday. McCarthy is not the girl's biological father, a law enforcement source said. Bella's body was discovered on June 25 on Deer Island in Winthrop. A computer-generated image of her (inset right) brought about an estimated 60million views in two weeks as a massive social media campaign was launched to try to find out what happened to her.

Cameron Brown was sentenced to life without parole today for first degree murder of his daughter Lauren Key. Lauren's mother, Sarah Key-Marer, broke down in tears as she told the court 'We are all so broken without her. Mr Brown - you will never take her memory from us,' she said directly to the murderer. She tells Daily Mail Online how she has coped with the pain of the past 15-year nightmare in an exclusive interview. 'I had such a bad feeling,' says Sarah of the day Brown had visitation. Brown always denied killing his daughter - but after three trials he was finally found guilty of the callous murder in May.

Matt Hahn - a former Penn State footballer who had one child with Uchitel during their brief marriage  - was arrested in New York on September 11 for repeatedly calling Uchitel. On Tuesday Uchitel will undergo an operation after being diagnosed with Chiari malformation, a condition that causes lower parts of the brain to be pushed towards the spinal cord According to TMZ , Hahn told Uchitel in one the phone calls: 'I hope you die.' Hahn has been arraigned on a charge of misdemeanor aggravated phone harassment. Uchitel now has an order of protection against Hahn, barring him from making contact with her.

Kim Davis, the clerk for Rowan County, Kentucky, was released on the condition that she didn't interfere with anyone else issue gay marriage licences, but is accused of breaching that order. As part of her release, Davis was permitted to remove her name from gay marriage licences, but attorneys say she has now removed the name of the county and the name of the deputy clerk, likely making them invalid. Instead deputy Brian Mason, who has been issuing licences on behalf of Davis, is referred to only as a 'notary public', and has only been given space to write his initials, instead of his signature.

The treasure hunters who found the Nazi gold train in the small Polish town of Walbrzych claim the long-lost Amber rooms (top right), worth around £250million, could be inside. The armoured train (file photo, bottom right) is thought be laden with gold, stolen paintings and gems looted by the Nazis as they plundered across Europe. Piotr Koper and Andreas Richter discovered the train close to the small town of Walbrzych in south-west Poland, after a German man revealed its location on his deathbed. The local government allegedly knows the exact location of the train, which is thought to be hidden on a 2.5-mile-stretch somewhere along the train line from Wroclaw to the town, but refuse to disclose it to the public.

A man shot video of a physical altercation that took place between a woman and an SUV on the streets of Denver, Colorado, earlier this month and posted the footage to YouTube. The woman in the video was intent on saving an empty parking spot on the side of a busy street, so she stood in the space and held her ground while the SUV unsuccessfully attempted to back in. The driver eventually took off.

Paddle-boarding couple Tyler and Lauren were out on the Weeki Wachee river in Florida when the group of manatees approached before swimming underneath them. In footage captured by paddle boarding shop Sup Weeki, the group of mammals, which can reach 13ft long and weigh up to 1,300lbs, come up to inspect the boards, before swimming away downriver. The creatures are endangered, thanks largely to over-hunting by humans, but their numbers are now rebounding thanks to their protected status.

Based on Earth being the size of a half-inch marble, the team calculated the scale sizes of each orbit and planet, which were represented by balls and lightbulbs. They then shot time-lapse images (inset) of their cars driving around the orbits over 36 hours from the vantage point of a nearby mountain. The project was captured in a short film, titled 'To Scale: The Solar System' by Wylie Overstreet and Alex Gorosh.

In the US, while drug use is illegal, advertising for drug paraphernalia is legal. Edward Honaker, 21, from California, was diagnosed with depression and anxiety two years ago, but up until that point he was confused by his crippling emotions. After learning the cause of his persistent melancholy, he turned to his camera to document his personal experience. Edward's face is blurred or covered in all of the haunting black and white photos, which are meant to portray the helplessness felt by someone who is battling a depressive disorder.

A total of 103 dogs have now been saved as part of a Humane Society program that is attempting to stop the practice of eating dog meat in South Korea. The cargo of 29 touched down in San Francisco on Wednesday night and were transferred to San Diego Thursday. Most of the dogs that were rescued were mastiffs, which are known as 'meat dogs' in South Korea. The dogs are currently undergoing testing and will then be eligible for adoption.
