Cute As A Button Blog Hop Challenge

Thank you SO much for participating in all the blog hop challenges so far this month, TSG FANS ROCK!!

Today's set illustrated by the EVER fabulous Torico will DEFINITELY appeal to the crafter in you...and we can't WAIT to see your reaction, so let's get to it!!

What can we say about this new set from Torico, other than…it’s Cute As a Button?! The perfect sewing set for ANY crafter, full from top to bottom, end to end, with as MANY stamps as you could POSSIBLY need to make the perfect card or scrapbook page, this whimsically cute set is sure to have EVERYTHING you need to celebrate the crafter in your life!

Cute As a Button is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 33 stamps and will sell for $24.00.

For my card tonight, I paired the new Cute As A Button set with my MME Nostalgia paper pad. I stamped all my images seperately, colored the spools with Copics. For my pin cushion, I stamped it three times: once for the base, which I colored the pin tops and ruffle on, once on my Nostalgia paper to paper piece the body with, and then last, to cut out the button to add on top. My sketch is the CardPatterns Sketch 166. I used Michael's brads, a Creative Express Spiral Clip, and some yummy lace ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel. For my image, I used the MFT Oval Stax Die-namics, and the Oval Open Scalloped Doily Duo Die-namics. To finish it, my scallops were made with the Large Simply Scalloped Die-namics, as well as the Scalloped Scallops Die-namics. Bazzill has out some YUMMY new cardstock, which I got from the Ribbon Carousel as well. I used the Candy Hearts and Robins Egg....they are FABULOUS!!!!

Would you like to win the new Cute As a Button  stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post.

You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more you comment on the better your chances are of winning new stamps! The Blog Hop Challenges will be open until 5 PM Eastern Time Saturday, May 26th with the winner being announced during the release party chat.

CPS and MFT...POW!!!

Hey everyone, sorry for the lack of posts, but my headaches are keeping me borderline dysfunctional, and are ZAPPING my mojo! I finally MADE myself make a card today, and was surprised that I DIDN'T hate it. Anytime I MAKE myself stamp, it's never good.

This week, My Favorite Thing is sponsoring the Card Positioning Systems sketch challenge. I loved the sketch, so I HAD to play along!

For my card, I started by stamping the SUPER CUTE new Pure Innocence- Karate Boy on X-Press It blending card, and then colored it with my Copics. I then layered it with Fossil and Black Licorice. I paired it with some MME Lost&Found Two Sunshine paper. I used some Charcoal Twine, and Linen Thread, and added a bare spiral clip in the corner. For my sentiment, I cut out a pennant from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics, and then repeatedly stamped my Hi Ya! and Pow! sentiments. My stars were cut out using the Stacking Stars Die-namics.

For the inside, I used another sentiment from this set, more of the YUMMY DP, and I also added some more of my stars. My border is the Star Border Die-namics.

Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by, and have a GREAT day!

CPS222- I Love You..

This week, My Favorite Things is sponsoring Card Positioning Systems. Here is the sketch, CPS222. I LOVE the main image panel on this...perfect for a cute little PI, or one of the WTG....the sky is the limit!! Be sure to follow the link to the CPS site to play along, there's a prize involved!! ;)

For my card, I started with this month's new release, Pure Innocence-Rose. I stamped her on an X-Press It blending card, and then colored her with my Copics. She was layered with Hot Fudge. My paper is from Echo Park, Life is Good. I also used Banana Split, and Pink Lemonade card stock. My ribbon is from MFT, and SU...my brad's are from Michael's. I used the Rounded Banner Trio Dienamics for my sentiment....ya, I know, it changes the sketch...I'm a rebel.

For the inside, I used more of the yummy Echo Park Paper, another sentiment from the set, and a Open Scalloped Border Die-namics strip, as well.
Well, that is it for me for now!! Today, the other BRAVER girl's from the MFT design team are playing with paint, so be sure to check THEM out. I am a BIG chicken...and I admit it!
