David Beckham shows off his tattoo sleeves in casual T-shirt as he enjoys boys' night out in New York with Justin Theroux

His wife Victoria Beckham has been tied up with New York Fashion Week and promoting her new collection.

And David Beckham was making the most of the opportunity to enjoy a catch-up with his pal Justin Theroux, hitting NYC on Thursday night for a boys' night out.

The duo first attended the Outlaw movie party on the Lower East Side before heading on to a private party at the Tribeca Grand Hotel.

David, 40, opted for a casual look, sporting a dark green T-shirt and skinny jeans paired with brown leather shoes.

The retired football legend showed off his extensive body art in the short-sleeved top, forgoing a jacket and braving the autumnal chill.

The father-of-four - who has sons Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13, and Cruz, 10, as well as four-year-old daughter Harper with wife Victoria - was joined by actor and screenwriter Justin for the evening.

The 44-year-old star was equally dressed down in a logo T-shirt and a baseball cap as he stepped out without his new wife Jennifer Aniston.

David was enjoying his second night out in as many days after flying in from Miami, where he had been the toast of the town at a Haig Club Single Grain Scotch Whisky bash the night before.

This year, David bagged a cameo in Ritchie's The Man From U.N.C.L.E and is also set to star in his pal's forthcoming production of King Arthur.

The British film director told Access Hollywood of David's part in Man From U.N.C.L.E.: 'He's in the film. He's in there... He's marginally disguised, but he's in the movie. I mean, once you know who it is, you'll know who it is!'

Despite dipping his toe into Hollywood, David has told Mr Porter in a new interview that he's not looking for a career in acting.

'I saw an article the other day that said this is my new career, and it's really not,' he explained. 'It's something that I've dipped myself into from time to time, but I only did it for a friend, Guy'
