‘Thanks for the one night stands!’ Two comedians bid farewell to rosé with mock eulogy video as summer comes to a close

  • Eva McEnrue and Melanie Owens, of New York, said goodbye to the warm weather drink of choice in their funny video

  • They also poked fun at the tendency of Instagram users to post photos of the pink wine

While some people are mourning the end of summer and the beach days and barbecues that define the season, two New York-based comedians are lamenting having to say goodbye to their favorite warm weather alcoholic beverage: rosé.

Eva McEnrue and Melanie Owens bid farewell to the summer drink of choice (and favorite Instagram subject) in a hilarious mock eulogy video posted to their YouTube channel earlier this month.

In the funny clip, the millennial New Yorkers get in some last-minute quality time with the pink wine before switching over to Fall with a couple of pumpkin brews.

The best friends are seen posing for selfies with the beverage, which they joke was born on Memorial Day and died on Labor Day, as they enjoy a day on the East River or hang out in the park.

Eva and Mel also poke fun at the tendency of bloggers and other Instagram users to post photos of the drink by sharing their own funny snaps.

'Thank you for the killer dance moves, the one night stands, and the sometimes triple digit [Instagram] likes,' a text slide from the video reads.

At the end of the clip, the ladies enjoy one last rosé toast on a city stoop while the tune of James Taylor's Carolina in My Mind plays in the background.

Suddenly, Eva and Mel pour out their drinks and changed into cool weather hoodies and flannels as the music switches to Kanye West and Jay Z's N***as in Paris.

They end their summer flings with rosé by breaking out Pumpkin Harvest seasonal beers from Blue Moon.
