Looking all white! Beth Ditto hits the catwalk at Marc Jacobs showing off her voluptuous figure in stunning dress with thigh high split

She was last seen on the catwalk in 2010 when she rocked the runway or Jean Paul Gaultier.

And since she launched her own clothing range for clothing chain Evans in 2013, Beth Ditto has stayed out of the fashion limelight.

But on Thursday she was back with a bang - when she strutted her stuff at the Marc Jacobs show which closed New York Fashion Week.

Throwing shade on the skinnier women who paraded up and down in the designer's creations, she carried herself with aplomb and panache.

The Gossip rocker wore a stunning white gown which featured a thigh high split as she sashayed down the runway.

The garment had embellished three-quarter length sleeves and a low cut neckline which just about kept her cleavage in check.

Beth has always been vocal about her size and was once scornful of the fashion industry.

She once called Karl Lagerfeld a 'miserable little man' and described Kate Moss as looking 'as boring as hell'.

But it was some years ago she decided to embrace the fashion world, and was soon seen hanging out with the Croydon born model.

She made her first runway appearance for Jean-Paul Gaultier back in 2010 in his ready-to-wear show at Paris Fashion Week, and went down a storm.

Then a size 28, not only opened with an acapella performance, she closed wearing a dress which had been specially made.

However her moment in the fashion limelight may have had an impact, as by 2013 she had dropped an estimated five dress sizes.

Appearing at the GLAAD Awards, many attributed her weight loss also to the fact she was preparing to tie the knot with her fiancee Kristen Ogata.

The pair married in June of that year.

She has been vocal in the past about her figure and embracing her plus-size, telling The Advocate: 'It’s really cool that there are people like Adele on the cover of Vogue and Rolling Stone, and like I think it’s really important that people are talking about your body, because if they don't, then you’ll never be able to break that barrier.'

In 2013 she showed off a much slimmer figure at the GLAAD Awards - it was thought she had lost weight for her upcoming wedding to fiancee Kristen Ogata
