She tends to turn heads when she steps out at red carpet events and on Friday it was no different for Naomi Watts.

Taking to the streets of New York City to enjoy a day out with a close pal, the 46-year-old looked ever-so glamorous as she opted for no make-up and a chic black and white look.

The Australian beauty covered up her slender figure in a white short-sleeve collared shirt, which she buttoned up right to the top.

She added a pair of flared black slacks which flowed half way down her calf muscles, underneath her classic top as she plugged her earphones in to listen to some tunes.

Naomi dressed down her outing attire with a pair of opened-toed sandals as she flung a matching coloured hand bag over her right shoulder while holding on to a bottle of water.

Wearing her short hair out, she flaunted her blemish free skin underneath her shades as she opted for a no make-up look.

A day earlier she switched her simple yet classy look for a pair of black faded skinny jeans and a long simple black t-shirt as she headed out with her two sons Alexander and Samuel, seven.

The Birdman actress added a white oversized blazer to her outfit which she rolled up the sleeves to as she held onto the young boys hands while walking the streets.

She finished off her lock with a gold thin gain which fell low around her neck and a pair of white sneakers.

Keeping on mark with the casual look, Alexander dressed in a pair of light blue knee-length shorts and a black round-collared t-shirt that had a multi-coloured print on the front.

His little brother Samuel opted for a similar attire to the eight-year-old and dressed in black shorts that featured bright green strips down the side and a dark grey t-shirt.

Both boys throw back-packs over their shoulders as their long blonde hair flowed behind them.
