The New York-based entertainer, who shot to fame in 2014 gaining nearly six million Instagram followers in a matter of months, said he found most of his models from a Craigslist posting, and some others were dads that he knew personally.
The dad models walked down an artificial grass runway, while home videos played on a projector screen in the background to a soundtrack of Bon Jovi, The Eagles and Rod Stewart.
Though there were no dads in the audience, there seemed to be every type of dad accounted for on the runway: Snow-Shoveling Dad, Sunday Ticket Dad, Handy Dad, Grill-Master Dad, Wall St Dad.

The New York-based entertainer, who shot to fame in 2014 thanks to social media, said he found most of his models from a Craigslist posting, and some others were dads that he knew personally
'Dad fashion needs to be celebrated,' he told Elle.com. 'Dads do not care. They will wear anything. They are style icons, we all should give less of a s*** and be more dad.
'Like my dad will wear anything I could give him -- he will wear a free shirt that he got for signing up for a bank account and he will wear it for the next seven years... So you know, they deserve to have the spotlight on them.'
Ostrovsky added that his dad models had to have a 'mediocre attitude' - the more they didn't care, the better.
'You had to be over it as soon as you got here,' he explained of his casting process. 'You had to be like "Okay, are we done?" and I was like "Okay, you literally just walked in. We actually literally just met and shook hands and you are already over it. And you are hired."'

The social media star has proved a hit with many Hollywood A-listers, including Justin Bieber
Ostrovsky's quirky - and occasionally controversial - breed of humor has made him a success on social media
In the past, the self-described 'Z-list celebrity' has worked on the E! Channel as a correspondent interviewing celebrities, and was a member of genre-bending rap group Team Facelift.
After the group's disbandment in 2010, Ostrovsky left music and began focusing solely on entertainment and plus-size modeling.
He has created video campaigns for such brands as Virgin Mobile, Burger King,Bud Light, and Beats Electronics, and recently introduced a wine called White Girl Rosé. His rescued Cavalier King Charles spaniel, Toast, is also a social media star.
His first book Money, Pizza, Respect will be released in November. He currently hosts a radio show on Apple Music Beats 1 called 'Money, Pizza, Respect'.
