Sizzling in satin! Eva Longoria wows in clingy backless black dress showcasing assets at Television Industry Awards

She set up her own foundation to help the Hispanic community reach its potential.

And on Friday evening, Eva Longoria was among the 10 honourees at the first Television Industry Advocacy Awards gala, launched by the Creative Coalition, TV Guide Magazine and TVInsider.com

The beautiful brunette rocked the red carpet at Sunset Tower Hotel, West Hollywood, in a backless black dress that hugged her curvaceous figure like a second skin.

The 40-year-old revealed a flash of flesh with a lace detail above her cleavage and she completed her ensemble with black high-heeled pumps.

The awards salute entertainment industry leaders who use the power of their celebrity to advocate for charitable and social causes.

And the former Desperate Housewives star is a shining example of that ethic. She set up her Eva Longoria Foundation in 2012 to help empower Latinas and their families through education and entrepreneurship.

Other honourees included Tim Robbins for his work with The Actors' Gang Prison Project; actress Alfre Woodard for her leadership in the President’s Committee on the Arts And The Humanities’ Turnaround Arts Program; 2 Broke Girls actress Beth Behrs for her involvement with The Rape Foundation and Unreal's Constance Zimmer for supporting the efficacy of the arts in education.

They were joined by The Good Wife's Alan Cumming and actress Laverne Cox for shining a spotlight on LGBTQ issues; actor Jeffrey Tambor for his work with youth empowerment; Blackish star Anthony Anderson for his efforts on behalf of F.A.C.E. Diabetes; and Under The Dome executive producer Neal Baer for his leadership with The Global Media Center For Social Impact.

In a press release before the event, Creative Coalition CEO Robin Bronk said: 'It's about the issues,' adding that the honorees have used their visibility to help support LGBTQ rights, diabetes awareness, the efficacy of the arts, youth empowerment and more.

'There's an obligation to give back to the community. We're doing our part.'
