Get me to the salon! Padma Lakshmi indulges in a pampering treatment at the beauty shop after LAX landing

As television's reigning culinary queen, Padma Lakshmi must be used to the effects airplanes can have on one's appearance.

The 45-year-old Top Chef host made the beauty salon a priority after she flew into Los Angeles International Airport from New York City on Friday.

Padma was dressed down for her beautifying visit but sultry nevertheless in belted jeans and a plain scoop-necked white T-shirt that showcased her shapely figure.

Not long afterwards, she emerged from the session smiling and radiant, and her waist-length hair looked ravishing as well.

Padma's shining locks were let loose as she crossed a car park, a black leather bag slung over her arm.

The mother-of-one decorated her décolletage with a double layering of necklaces, and there was a chic watch on her wrist as well.

When it comes to airport style Padma Lakshmi was #winning when she arrived at LAX in a t-shirt and Stella McCartney jeans.

The Top Chef host luxed up her look with some ankle boots, a printed leather jacket, and a pair of aviator sunglasses.

The Indian beauty later ditched the jacket for a trip to the beauty salon so we could really appreciate the detail of her distressed jeans. The cuffed hem and slightly slouched boyfriend silhouette added a twinge of edgy coolness to her look.

Tinted aviator shades shielded her eyes from the sun's glare and her complexion was relatively make-up free.

Just the day before, Padma had attended the New York City premiere of My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Friendship Games with her five-year-old daughter Krishna.

On that occasion, Padma looked elegant in a white top and skirt set that allowed a glimpse of her toned tummy, along with red heels and red clutch.

Her youngster was dressed in complimentary colours too including a pale pink frock and red cardigan.

The Indian-born but New York-raised stunner is gearing up for season 13 of Top Chef that will take place in various cities in California and airs in the fall.

'I rule the world with a wooden spoon,' Padma recently told The New York Post with a tinge of humour.  

That's not exactly an understatement considering her food and home accessory empire.

Not only does she helm the Padma’s Easy Exotic brand, which is sold at Whole Foods and other supermarkets, she also has developed dining decor The Padma Collection now sold at Macy's, Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom
