Demi Lovato went from demure to daring on Thursday at a benefit gala in New York City.

The 23-year-old singer arrived in a flared LBD with a twist at the Samsung Hope For Children Gala at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

She later changed into fishnet stockings, black hot pants, sequined crop top and knee-high boots for a performance.

The former Disney star added a flash of colour to her demure dress with a green stripe around the waist and skirt hem.

Demi polished off her outfit with her favourite black Louboutin open-toed booties.

Her glossy raven locks had a tousled twist, as she gave a good eyeful of her arm tattoos and black manicure.

Speaking to chat show host Alan Carr in the UK, Demi replied that she was 'not confirming and I’m definitely not denying' when asked by the funnyman if her new single was 'about lesbianism.'
