Padma Lakshmi charms in midriff-peeking white ensemble while Sarah Michelle Gellar goes radiant in red at My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Friendship Games premiere

Padma Lakshmi celebrated her 45th year on the first day of this month.

The Top Chef host was glowingly youthful as ever as she hit up the premiere of My Little Pony Equestria Girls Friendship Games in New York City on Thursday where other attendees included a radiant-in-red Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Padma looked incredibly fit in a classy white top and matching pencil skirt between which she showed off a hint of toned tummy.

The mother-of-one, who is known for her oft-repeated phrase on the Bravo show, 'Please pack your knives and go,' added a punch thanks to the red pointy pumps and red bag with black and sparkly panel running through the centre.

Padma wore her long nearly waist-length locks loose and slightly curly, and wore minimal make-up at this late summer event.

At another point during the day, Padma exuded sophistication as she strolled along a city sidewalk with her five-year-old daughter Krishna.

They may have been heading to the kid-friendly premiere together, as Krishna was all dressed up as well in pink frock, red cardigan and dark ballet slippers, her dark hair fashioned into twin plaits.

Sarah Michelle Gellar recalled her adventurous days on TV's Buffy The Vampire Slayer when she took part in a little crossbow practice.

The 38-year-old mother-of-two struck a high note in her red sleeveless dress that featured a flaring hemline and a darker band of red around the hips.

Sarah seemed to be having a wonderful time at the premiere of the full feature-length flick, which is the third installment in the My Little Pony Equestria Girls franchise.

Others to attend the event included Real Housewives Of New York City star Kristen Taekman, who brought along her daughter Kingsley.

Kristen looked city chic in a caramel-coloured leather skirt, lacy top and strappy heels while her youngster was bright in a little red dress.

Fellow RHONYC star Aviva Drescher rocked a rainbow-bright frock and her little girl Sienna looked cute in pink.

Trainer to the stars Tracy Anderson was a festive sight in purple-patterned maxi-dress as she arrived with her daughter Penelope.

Some of the guys also made it to the event including TV personality Nigel Barker, who brought along his wife Crissy and their two children, Jack and Jasmine.

Funny man Jim Gaffigan brought along his daughter Katie, while 12-year-old Jadon Sand - who lent his voice to last year's The Lego Movie among countless other animated films - made his presence known as well.

It wouldn't be a premiere without the cast, and they were there too: William Anderson, Andrea Libman, Rebecca Schoichet, Ashleigh Ball, Cathy Weseluck and Daniel Ingram.
