Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting recently debuted her sculpted figure on the cover of Shape magazine's October issue.

And on Thursday's episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the 29-year-old dished about the strict diet it took to achieve that enviable look.

'All I ate was like, almonds for so long. I was so hungry,' the star said of her strict diet, adding: 'Egg whites, almonds, air.'

Kaley looked gorgeous for the appearance, sporting a form-fitting black sweater with dramatic cut-outs along the back.

She coupled the high-fashion look with a pair of shimmery, wide-legged trousers that hit at just her knees, finishing off with chic pumps.

She wore her short, blonde tresses in stylishly tousled curls, and showed off a sophisticated smoky eye.

She dished on her Shape magazine cover with host Jimmy, admitting: 'Luckily they told me I was going to be on the cover a year ago, so I had a lot of time to prepare.'

However, the blonde beauty ensured him it 'was not easy' and quipped: 'Nothing gets you more in shape than being on the cover of Shape.'

Kaley revealed that she worked out every day, ate 'so rarely,' and cut out alcohol in order to prepare for the intimidating shoot.

However, once the big day came, the actress finally let herself splurge, by making a big dinner reservation with friends, during which she ordered pizza, pasta, desserts, and drinks.

Though she admitted she didn't end up actually enjoying that food until 11pm that night, by herself, while her husband and dogs were asleep, as she ate it out of the fridge.

'It was almost as if I was so full from being so hungry,' she joked, of not being able to eat at dinner, though added of indulging later: 'It was the best because no one bothered me!'

Later, The Big Bang Theory star discussed her penchant for taking Polaroids on set, which she does to be safer, since unlike iPhones, they cannot be hacked.

Things picked up for the actress, however, when the host then invited her to play 'Pup Quiz,' a trivia game which rewarded contestants with a Golden Retriever puppy any time they answered a question correctly, or their opponent answered incorrectly.

The known dog lover - who shares four dogs with husband Ryan Sweeting and has an Instagram account named after pooch Norman - was almost in tears, she was so thrilled with the game.

Kaley took to Instagram to promote her appearance on Thursday, as well as to thank her team for her amazing look, sharing a striking selfie.
