How cheeky! Madonna slaps Amy Schumer's bottom as comedian joins her on stage during Rebel Heart Tour in NYC

Neither Amy Schumer nor Madonna are known for holding back when it comes to their performances.

So it was no surprise that when the two came together on Wednesday, at one of the Madison Square Garden stops of Madonna's Rebel Heart Tour, things got a little crazy.

After opening for Madonna, 57, the 34-year-old comedian joined her onstage for a song, during which the hitmaker proceeded to lift up her dress and slap her bottom.

Amy strolled out onstage to join Madonna, sporting a spaghetti strap black dress and strappy sandals.

However, she was quickly turned around and made to lean over as the Material Girl hitmaker took a peek at the comedian's lacy black underwear, and gave her a few cheeky slaps across her derriere.

Four backup dancers in tuxedos stood by and cheered as Madonna and Amy joked around together.

The comedian appeared to be loving every minute, dancing wildly on stage as Madonna sang to her.

The Trainwreck star shimmied and waved her arms in the air, pulling a silly sultry face as she pulled off her impressive moves.

And even the back-up dancers seemed impressed, laughing as Amy got into the groove.

Then, as Amy went to stand up, Madonna could be heard saying: 'I'm not done!' before pretending to kick the Comedy Central star's bottom, and then twerking behind her.

After that, however, she scooped Amy back up and the two could be seen skipping along down the stage together.

Earlier that day Amy had looked forward to opening for Madonna by sharing a hilarious throwback video on her social media accounts.

In the adorable clip, the young star could be seen sporting curly bangs, with the rest of her hair pulled back into a ponytail, as she belted out the lyrics to Madonna's 1989 hit Like A Prayer.

'I made it through the wilderness. Meet you at @TheGarden tonight @Madonna,' Amy wrote, alongside the clip.

After her performance Schumer announced to the excited crowd - who gave her a standing ovation - that she would be returning after the Rebel Heart Tour on June 23 to play Madison Square Garden herself.

It's not the first time Amy's dance moves have wowed concert-goers.

She and new BFF Jennifer Lawrence climbed on top of Billy Joel's piano during a performance of Uptown Girl in Chicago late last month.

Their appearance was a nod to Schumer's hit comedy Trainwreck, which includes a dance sequence to Joel's 1983 hit.

Meanwhile, Amy wasn't the only celebrity supporting the Queen of Pop at her Madison Square Garden show on Wednesday.

Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart were seen cuddling as they caught the show, which was also attended by Ariana Grande, her mother, and her brother Frankie.

The Shades of Blue actress looked laid-back in a blue and red plaid jacket coupled with a pair of fitted, light wash jeans.

The mother-of-two showed off wild curls, and accessorized with gold, hoop earrings, and bright red lipstick.

Casper matched her casual style, donning a denim jacket over a fitted, grey T-shirt, and jeans, accessorizing with brown sunglasses.

The duo sported wide smiles as they were spotted cozying up to each other during Madonna's show.

She showed off toned pins in a pair of thigh-high black leather boots for one song, which she coupled with fishnet tights and a corset top with long, flowing black sleeves.

She wore her long, blonde tresses in loose waves and showed off bright, red lips as she performed for the crowd.
