Mr Patton, whose wife Valerie died five years ago, told the Sun how he and Ms Phillips connected on the social networking site.
'Amy had been a fan of ChuckleVision all of her life and commented on something I posted,' he said. 'It just went from there. I never thought I would find this love again.'
He described how he got down on one knee to propose to his young bride-to-be while she was sitting on the sofa in the living room. 'It was emotional,' he added. 'Thankfully she said yes'.
Amy's father, John, from Ormskirk, Lancashire, said the couple are 'really good together'.
'Jimmy and his friends think Amy is the bees knees,' he added.

Though he is now retired, Jimmy appeared more than 40 times on ChuckleVision with Chuckle Brothers Barry, 70, and Paul, 67, and his younger brother, Brian, 81.
He often appeared as some sort of boss character on the show. His character was known as 'No Slacking', so-called because of his catchphrase, 'And remember, no slacking'.
He also appeared on David Nixon's Comedy Bandbox and Seaside Special.
Posting on Facebook, Jimmy wrote: 'Thank you again to all our lovely friends on Facebook for all the wonderful messages and kind thoughts. Love & Best Wishes. Jimmy.'
