  • Wife Kim cheered him on in her typical passionate style
  • Pair are believed to be expecting first child in February

She tied the knot at Dunblane Cathedral in what was dubbed 'Scotland's royal wedding' earlier this year and today Kim Murray returned to her husband Andy's native country to cheer him to victory in the Davis Cup.

The 27-year-old from Sussex, who is thought to be around four months pregnant with their first child, disguised any sign of a baby bump under a baggy red jumper worn over a white shirt as she took her seat at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow.

The artist waved a Union flag, clapped her hands and fist pumped the air as she roared the British number one on in the passionate supporter style for which she has become famous.

She couldn't hide her delight as Andy beat Thanasi Kokkinakis in the first rubber of the Davis Cup semi-final in front of a jubilant home crowd.

The tournament will continue all weekend with the country who win the most of the five matches (four singles and one doubles match) progressing to the final. If team GB win, it will be the first time they will have reached the final in 37 years.

Tennis wag Kim was well-aware how high the stakes were as Andy took to the court at the Emirates Arena and looked nervous when he dropped three games in the first set.

But she had no need to fear as Andy breezed through the three set match 6-3, 6-0, 6-3. He is expected to play in the doubles with brother Jamie tomorrow as well as playing another singles match on Sunday.

The Davis Cup is famous for its raucous spectators and Kim joined those who raised the roof every time Andy hit a winning shot.

The Scot said after the match that he hoped the crowd would be as vocal to help GB's Dan Evans when he plays Bernard Tomic, the world 23 seed to Dan's 300th, later this afternoon.

It was first reported in August that Andy and Kim, who tied the knot in April after starting their romance as teenagers, are expecting their first child together.

The private pair have yet to make any official announcement but are thought to have told friends and family the happy news last month after Kim's 12-month scan.

Meanwhile, Andy revealed today that he will donate £50 to Unicef for every ace he serves between now and the end of the year, having been moved by the recent refugee crisis.

He announced the plan on the eve of Great Britain's Davis Cup semi-final against Australia, with sponsors Standard Life and the ATP and LTA all matching his contribution.

That means Unicef stand to make £200 every time the Scot's serve comes off.

'Having seen the images broadcast on the news in recent weeks I felt I had to do something to help the millions of children and their families who have been forced to flee their homes and had their lives turned upside down," he said on www.atpworldtour.com.

'I'll get that little bit more satisfaction from each ace I hit knowing that it will be helping Unicef keep children safe. I'm also asking my fans across the world to join with me to and support Unicef's vital work. Together we can help make a safer world for every child.'

Unicef UK Executive Director David Bull said: 'The support of Andy, and his fans and the wider tennis community, can help us continue to provide support for children whenever and however disaster strikes.'
