Green with envy! Jasper Conran serves up sequinned seaweed gowns, khaki jerseys and avocado sundresses at spring/summer 16 show

Jasper Conran's spring/summer 2016 catwalk - held at Brewer Street car park on Saturday morning - was a stunning sea of green.

The London-born designer, who has a knack for embracing the female form, showcased green in every variant imaginable on his mossy mirrored lake runway.

There were leaf green print dresses, khaki cotton jerseys, avocado striped tops and apple hued vest dresses in clean and classic shapes.

Jasper's fluid jerseys and lightweight organza dresses punctuated with painterly abstracts and stripes will be ideal for summers abroad; particularly when worn with the simple gold sandals that exclusively adorned models' feet.

Billowy chiffon and linear print cotton garments, which are already available to buy online, prove that comfort is key for Jasper, who really understands how women want to dress.

As for accessories, simple green and white striped totes were designed with lazy days at the beach in mind.

Make-up maestro Val Garland was responsible for giving the girls a fresh and healthy summer glow designed to look as though they'd just jetted in from their summer jaunts.

Each model was given smatterings of freckles and 'lots of shine' courtesy of the beauty industry's technique du jour - strobing - and hair was worn loose with a touch of backcombing.

Algae green sequinned dresses - some long-sleeved and one strapless - were the real stars of the show and certainly had fashion fans yearning for the warmer months.
