Mollie King puts on a VERY leggy display in tiny leather mini-skirt as she mingles with fashion A-list and politicians at official London Fashion Week party

She might have found fame as a popstar, but Mollie King appears to be revelling in her new-found status as a member of the fashion A-list.

The Saturdays star, 28, flaunted her sartorial prowess as she attended the official London Fashion Week party hosted by Vogue UK editor Alexandra Shulman and the US Ambassador Matthew Barzun and his wife Brooke in the British capital on Friday evening.

Taking place at the American Ambassador's residence - the 12-acre Winfield House mansion in Regent's Park - Mollie was seen rubbing shoulders with a host of stars and politicians, including US Secretary of State John Kerry.

The Surrey-born star exuded a youthful and sexy vibe wearing a black leather mini-skirt, which showcased her tanned pins to perfection.

The former pop princess kept her styling relatively pared-back, sporting a simple black T-shirt in addition a khaki, sleeveless blazer.

She added height to her petite 5ft 3in frame in a pair of black, ankle-strap stilettos, also injecting a touch of glam via a chunky gold bangle.

The blonde songstress - who is dating model David Gandy, 35 - added a point of interest to her look with a quirky clutch bag emblazoned with the Magnolia Bakery logo.

The Manhattan bakery is famous for being featured in the hit TV show, Sex And The City

Her blonde, shoulder-length locks were styled into a chic centre-parting, while she showcased her fresh-faced appearance by wearing minimal make-up.

She was later seen at a party to celebrate the launch of fashion brand Coach at Selfridges.

Despite her fashion credentials - she's collaborated with high-street store Oasis in recent years - it appears Mollie may well be missing her musical roots.

She recently took to Instagram to share a snap of her playing an acoustic guitar - which got her 563k followers rather excited.

Some of the comments included: 'New music please!' while another wrote, optimistically, 'You should do an acoustic album or E.P. Would love to hear you display your natural talent.'

And while she's been enjoying plenty of high-fashion appearances this year, Mollie insisted in a recent interview that her career with The Saturdays is far from over.

The girl group went on hiatus this year so the band could pursue other projects and focus on their families.

Mollie's bandmate Rochelle Humes is busy presenting The Xtra Factor while Frankie Bridge welcomed her second child last month, but despite their busy lives, Mollie is keen for the fivesome to reunite.

'I'd be lying if I said I was ready for the band to end,' she tells Notion Magazine. 'We'll get back in the studio at some point. I'd really like us all to do another tour together.'
