I'm more nervous about the dentist than the visit of high-flying Liverpool, claims Rene

Fulham manager Rene Meulensteen claims he gets more nervous about a trip to the dentist than the visit of free-scoring Liverpool to Craven Cottage.

Rock-bottom Fulham nicked a point at Manchester United on Sunday but Liverpool's slick passing, prowess at set-pieces and Luis Suarez-Daniel Sturridge partnership presents a different challenge to the division's leakiest defence.

Even so, Meulensteen insists he is not apprehensive.

'I don't get nervous. The last time I was nervous I had to go to the dentist. It (facing Liverpool) is definitely a challenge you relish, that is what they are capable of. But the Premier League has shown us that time and again there are surprises. Every game is winnable.'

Record Fulham signing Kostas Mitroglou has a niggling knee problem and will not play but Meulensteen is well aware of Liverpool's inspiration.

'Suarez has been exceptional,' he said. 'The goals he's scored and the energy he has - he's an out-and-out winner. 'It's been a job well done by Brendan Rodgers to keep him at the club. He has man-managed him very well.'
