- Tasseled flapper frocks and jumpsuits came in spider web crochet
- Models with slicked back hair and smokey eyes stormed the runway
He's known and loved by the A-list for his fabulous sequin-embellished gowns but Julien Macdonald's spring/summer 16 collection was a departure from the usual feast of glitter and glamour.
The Strictly Come Dancing star, who has dressed Nicole Scherzinger, Beyonce and Emma Watson, gave grunge a glamorous makeover for the warmer months ahead.
The Welsh designer's show at Smithfield Market, which was watched by a front row as dazzling as his designs, served up an array of red carpet worthy gowns - and Millie Mackintosh and Rochelle Humes had their eye on more than a few.

Despite his edgy new direction, the king of bling didn't shun his favourite embellishment completely.
There was a smattering of mini dresses sprinkled with shimmering palettes, chiffon dresses with sparkling silver mesh; backless pieces with sweeping trains and sheer cut-out sections revealing a glimpse of glistening skin beneath.
Julien also used the show as an opportunity to unveil his debut menswear range, which was full of graphic tribal print shirts, silky shorts and, of course, diamanté embellished boxers.

Writing for Hello! magazine before his show, Julien explained that the collection was inspired by a recent trip to Bali.
He said: 'The collection takes you through my Indonesian journey of breath taking natural beauty, intricate textiles and colourful paintings.
'You will see an array of bold graphic designs with opulent embellishments and glamour of course.'
Julien took to the catwalk with his bride for a well-received finale
