One for Miley Cyrus? Sibling present an alternative summer collection as they look to young Hollywood for inspiration at London Fashion Week

  • Sibling presented their SS16 collection at Brewer Street Car Park today
  • The brand incorporated crocheted pieces including bikinis and swimsuits
  • Today's presentation was dedicated to the former joint creative director, Joe Bates who passed away in August following a long battle with cancer

Although summer may have well and truly come to an end, it was alive and kicking on Saturday as designers presented their spring/summer 16 collections at London Fashion Week.

Several runways have showcased high heat classics such as day dresses and gladiator sandals, however others look for alternative options to beachwear - enter Sibling.

Design duo Sid Bryan and Cozette McCreery can always be relied on to put a fun spin on classic pieces and today's show was no exception with a curious collection of summer separates on offer.

The brand looked towards young Hollywood for inspiration for their latest line with resort staples taking a risque turn.

It appears as though those at Sibling may have been influenced by a certain young pop icon for their spring/summer line.

Miley Cyrus has not been shy when it comes to her dress sense of late, opting for ensembles that showcase ample flesh and exaggerated cleavage - just like those on the runway.

Although the pop princess herself may not have been at the event. the front row wasn't short of celebrities with Abbey Clancy joining the gliterrati on the runway.

Abbey, 29, cut a slim figure, slipping into a little black dress as she took up a pew on the front row at knitwear hero Sibling's catwalk show which was held at the main space in Brewer Street car park.

Sibling are as well known for their fun sensibility as their love of knitwear so it was no surprise to see the collection incorporating several crocheted pieces.

Although the range was comfortably familiar with Sibling's upbeat outlook, the show did have a sombre feel.

Dare to bare with Abbey's knit

With the news that Abbey Clancy is coming back to our screens for Britain's Next Top Model, we can't wait to see more of her style this season. And who would know that she only had a baby three months ago when modelling this gorgeous cut out dress at London Fashion Week.

She's wearing London-based brand Sibling, who are known for their fun and bright designs. Sadly, the co-founder of the brand Joe Bates passed away last month. Having worked for Jaeger before, his designs are carried on by co-founders Cozette McCreery and Sid Bryan.

Abbey's dress is definitely one to add to the wardrobe, as it's a classy piece with a subtle sexiness because of the cut-out mesh. The modest pencil skirt keeps it chic and of course some mules and statement sunglasses are exactly how we'd style it!

Abbey's exact dress isn't available yet but you can browse the rest of the brand at NET-A-PORTER (click right). Otherwise we've found some similar styles at ASOS or Very Exclusive for a reasonable price.
