Just because she's single now doesn't mean she has to stay home.

Fifty Shades of Grey starlet Dakota Johnson, 25, decided to spend a night out on the town with dear old dad Don Johnson, 65, on Friday night in West Hollywood.

It seems as though the Miami Vice star might have out-dressed his daughter, however.

She did add a hint of playfulness with some interesting sandal-inspired heels.

Her father decided to up the pizzazz a little with his own getup.

Along with some standard black pants and dress shoes, he wore a dark purple button down under it, and perhaps hearkening back to his Miami days, left the top few buttons open. 

The elder Johnson was also sporting a noticeable tan versus his porcelain-skinned progeny.

Dakota recently revealed on the Ellen DeGeneres Show that she is no longer seeing apparently now ex-boyfriend Matthew Hitt. 

While talking about her famous portrayal of Anastasia Steele, the 57-year-old comedienne asked the pretty brunette: 'Are you in a relationship?'

Dakota replied 'no' with a bit of hesitation and nervous laughter.

The 21 Jump Street actress and Matthew dated for several months before a reported split in February, but briefly rekindled their romance in May before calling it quits.
