Kanye West - who performed at iHeart Radio in Las Vegas on Friday - could not care less about what the haters have to say about his fashion line, a source told Us Weekly.

The 38-year-old rapper's last minute show on September 16 at New York Fashion Week attracted some disparaging reviews, but according to a source, it's water off a duck's back.

'People hate on Kanye all the time,' an insider told Us. 'He doesn't care in the least. He ignores the haters. He doesn't pay attention to all the bitter critics.'

The collection was slammed from both sides of the music fashion divide Kanye straddles; fellow rapper Ice T described the clothes as 'future slave gear', while renowned fashion critic Cathy Horyn said his collection was 'amusing at best'.

But the insider from Kanye's camp said the proof is in the demand.

'The show was beautiful and cool,' they said. 'And Kanye has never failed in this space.

'His Adidas shoes sell online for so much money. From a success standpoint, he is only reinforced by the fact that all he ever touches, all his collections and collaborations, sell out so quickly.'

On Thursday, Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian confirmed the models for the Yeezy II Collection were indeed arranged by skin colour, as had been suspected.

The 34-year-old took to Twitter and Instagram to give fans a glimpse of her hubby's creative process, sharing three images of models with varying skin tones, labeling each grouping 'LIGHT', 'MEDIUM', and 'DARK'.

The models featured on the runway, including Kim's youngest sister Kylie Jenner and family friend Bella Hadid, were dressed in nude body suits, leggings and layers upon layers of utility separates in colors that best matched their skin tones.

At the start of the show, models were called out by drill sergeants; light-skinned, blonde models marched down the runway first wearing equally pale ensembles; each group that followed had darker skin and clothing than the one before it.
