She's no lemon: Naomi Watts is hand in hand with partner Liev Schreiber as she attends pre-Emmys party in stylish yellow dress

Naomi Watts put on a united front with her long-term partner Liev Schreiber on Saturday, walking the red carpet in L.A. holding hands with the actor.

The pair were among stars at the Showtime Emmy Eve party at Sunset Tower Hotel, arriving in style in smart cocktail attire.

Naomi was typically glamorous in a yellow cocktail dress, her petite frame on full display as her partner towered over her.

Affectionate: Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber put on a united front as they attended the Showtime pre-Emmy party in L.A. on Saturday

Wearing her blonde locks loose around her shoulders, the 46-year-old shunned heavy make-up for a more fresh faced look.

The mother-of-two added some drop earrings, adding a touch of sparkle to her red-carpet look.

Meanwhile Liev was smart in a sharp grey suit, wearing a crisp white shirt beneath his buttoned-up jacket.

The pair were among stars at the event held annually ahead of the awards ceremony. Claire Danes, Damian Lewis and Felicity Huffman were also in attendance.

Naomi's polished look was a far cry from her off-duty uniform of a white shirt and black trousers, seen on Friday as she ran errands in New York.

Stepping out with the family's dog and carrying some blue and green rucksacks that likely belong to her young sons, the starlet was every inch the yummy mummy as she pounded the pavements.

Wearing her blonde tresses tussled, Naomi kept her face free from make-up. Clutching her iPhone throughout the stroll, the Diana actress seemed eager to get through her to-do list.

Go for comfort in Charlize's Birkenstocks

This gorgeous mom juggling a career, a dog, 2 children and a long to-do list relied on her best companion to keep her cool and comfortable and by best friend, we're not talking about Nicole Kidman--we're speaking of BIRKENSTOCKS.

Yes, that's right, we said it. And Naomi isn't the first celebrity to turn to these comfort before style shoes. She joins a long list of A- Listers that have blended these (once outcast) sandals into their ultra chic wardrobe collection.

These molded sole slides are timeless, practical and on-trend- so what's not to love?

The epitome of normcore, wear your double strap sliders with everything from jeans and a white tee, to summer dresses and cut-offs, they really do go with everything! Especially in black.

She had been seen earlier in the day out and about with a friend, chatting away as the pair made their way through the busy streets.

Naomi and Liev, who are notoriously private about their relationship, share two children - Samuel and Alexander.

The pair are believed to have been together for around 10 years. It is not clear whether the pair remain unmarried, with a 2008 New Year's Eve wedding reportedly cancelled at the last minute.
