Battle of the rugby scrummies: Forget the action on the pitch, the rivalry between the girlfriends of two of England's star players is FAR more entertaining

  • Camilla Kerslake is the girlfriend of England Rugby captain Chris Robshaw
  • Lads’ magazine model Chloe Madeley is James Haskell's girlfriend
  • The England WAGs deny reports of a rift, but what is the truth?

Fiercely ambitious England WAGs Camilla Kerslake (girlfriend of captain Chris Robshaw) and Chloe Madeley (James Haskell) deny reports of a rift. So what’s the truth?

The raunchy rivals

Camilla Kerslake, 27

Crossover singer (both soprano and pop), occasional actress, model and charity campaigner, sultry Camilla Kerslake is also a self-confessed shoe, handbag and social media addict.

She attracted widespread attention earlier this year when she posted an alluring picture of herself dressed in a negligee while holding a roast chicken to welcome her man back home from a hard day’s training for the Six Nations tournament.

Chloe Madeley, 28

Lads’ magazine model, reality TV star, fitness fanatic and serial poster of bikini shots on Twitter and Instagram. Her occasionally sulky demeanour and youthful indiscretions — in 2009 she was caught drink driving and smoking cannabis on Facebook pictures — mean this Scrummie is no saint.

Family fortunes

Camilla

She’s an only child — Kiwi dad Greg is a chef turned IT consultant, while her Welsh mother Deborah is a psychologist and life coach. Camilla was born in Dulwich, South-East London but the family emigrated to New Zealand when she was a baby and returned when she was nine.

Camilla attended Esher College in Surrey before studying at the Guildford Academy of Contemporary Music.

Chloe

Youngest child of TV presenters Judy Finnigan and Richard Madeley. She was privately educated and split her time between her parents’ sprawling homes in Hampstead, North London, Cornwall and Provence. She still lives at home in her parents’ eight-bedroom mansion in London.

Their story so far

Camilla

While still at music college, Camilla earned extra money in an Abba tribute band. Aged 19 she started bombarding Take That star Gary Barlow with CD demos, hand delivering them to his studio every day for six weeks.

Eventually he listened to her sing and immediately signed her to his record label, on which she has released two albums of classic ballads.

In 2009, she sang the hymn How Can I Keep From Singing? for the Waitrose Christmas TV advert. The following year she was in a special 25-year anniversary production of Les Miserables in the West End, playing Cosette.

She took an 18-month sabbatical to nurse her mother through breast cancer and is now an active campaigner for the cause.

Earlier this year she provided the voice of an operatic sheep in the film version of Shaun The Sheep.

Camilla has performed the National Anthem at sporting events including the Epsom Derby in front of the Queen, but turned down the chance to sing it at last night’s opening match so as not to be a distraction.

Chloe

Chloe left Leeds University after one term saying she was ‘so over the whole education thing’. Instead she decided she wanted to be a TV star — and, of course, had connections.

She did a stint as a runner on the Alan Titchmarsh show before landing a job as a roving showbusiness reporter on a programme hosted by — surprise, surprise — her mum and dad. Sadly, Richard and Judy’s new show, New Position, lasted just eight months on satellite channel Watch due to low audience figures.

At 20, Chloe posed in stockings and underwear for lads’ magazine FHM (second top), a well-known route for starlets trying to raise their profile.

She’s represented by United Artists who also look after Olivia Colman, Cara Delevingne and Kelly Brook. At first, her agent claimed Chloe would not resort to reality television. Whoops! A year later she was on Celebrity Quitters where she gave up smoking, followed by Dancing On Ice where she came third. Earlier this year she finished fifth on winter sports show The Jump.

She’s modelled for lingerie firm Ultimo and is now a qualified personal trainer running a website dedicated to health and fitness.

Fallen Angels

Camilla

In 2014, Camilla caused a stir in the royal box at Wimbledon and appeared dressed in a daring black corset, so low cut she looked in danger of spilling out. This year she chose a much more demure dress.

Her love of risqué clothing got her in trouble again in February when Chris was representing England in the Six Nations tournament and she posted that picture of her holding the roast dinner with the caption: ‘Welcomed my man home from camp like this tonight. Got to feed him up.’

The picture went viral, with some rugby fans accusing her of distracting her man. In fact, the chicken and negligee did the trick as England won their next two games.

Chloe

Her 20-month driving ban in 2009 came after she caused an accident while twice over the alcohol limit. Her car flipped over after clipping another vehicle and Chloe fled the scene. She claimed she was ‘dazed and confused’ and only got in her car as she was in urgent need of sanitary products.

In the same year, she was pictured smoking cannabis. Her parents insisted Chloe was ‘anti drugs’ — which their little darling said made her sound like ‘a freak’.

She complains of being targeted by trolls on Twitter, saying: ‘I’ve been called “fat” and “disgusting” and told I look “deformed” and “half man, half horse.” ’

Selfie obsession

Camilla

She has a combined total of 15,000 followers on Twitter and Instagram. Camilla is a yoga enthusiast and loves to indulge in the celebrity trend of posting pictures of herself performing bendy poses. A health nut, she regularly pictures what she is eating and, of course, it wouldn’t be an Instagram account if there wasn’t the obligatory collection of bikini-by-a-pool pictures.

Fans are treated to snaps of her shoes, handbags and lingerie as well as cute pics of her photogenic pets and even more photogenic beefcake boyfriend.

Chloe

Chloe posts almost daily pictures of herself working out on her Instagram and Twitter accounts where she has a combined following of 90,000.

Her admirers will know her favourite snap is the one she takes at the bottom of her stairs where she thrusts her bottom and boobs out as she poses in a thong.

SO WHO LOOKS BEST IN A BIKINI?

Camilla

Beauty queen meets glamour model. Started out with a wholesome girl-next-door image, but in recent years has undergone a dramatic vamp-over.

Often seen on the red carpet in daring dresses slashed to the navel. She is particularly proud of her 30DD bust and boasts of having ‘very good boobs’, adding: ‘Whenever I get my boobs out they always spark debate about whether they’re real or not. Let me tell you they’re completely natural.’ She shares a two-bedroom Victorian cottage in Kingston upon Thames, London, with boyfriend Robshaw.

The couple also enjoy Caribbean jaunts. It was in Barbados earlier this year where the picture above was taken and where the couple were also photographed re-enacting the famous lift scene from Dirty Dancing.

Chloe

A muscular blonde, she has worked hard to transform her body and enjoys showing off her rock-hard abs and bulging biceps.

She loves holidaying in the South of France (where mummy and daddy have a house) and went to Dubai this summer with Haskell, where the picture above in classic bikini pose was taken.

Whose hunk is hottest?

Chloe

Chloe’s obviously not the only one in this relationship who’s prone to over-exposure — boyfriend James Haskell isn’t afraid to pose nude, as this photoshoot, below, for Sport Magazine shows.

Of course, he wasn’t her first love — Chloe was with web designer David McNidder for three years, then in Dancing On Ice in 2011 Chloe went out with actor Sam Attwater. They moved in together after three months but six weeks later it was all over.

She dated Hustle star Marc Warren before getting together with Coronation Street actor Danny Young for two years. She and Haskell met last November after he contacted her via Twitter.

Chloe claims she had no idea he was a famous sportsman.

CAMILLA

While at music college, Camilla got together with a percussionist known only as ‘Mike’. They dated for two years. In 2010, she was rumoured to be dating pop heartthrob Nick Jonas, one third of American boy band the Jonas Brothers, after he starred alongside her in Les Miserables.

In 2011, she met Chris Robshaw. The pair are what they call ‘pre-engaged’, meaning that he hasn’t actually proposed yet but they have a clear understanding that they will eventually marry.

Instead of buying her a ring this year, he bought her an affenpinscher puppy that she’s named Rico.
