Following in daddy's footsteps! Nicole Trunfio holds up son Zion as he strums his father Gary Clark Jr's guitar on stage

He may be less than a year old but Nicole Trunfio's son Zion is already following in the footsteps of his musician father, Gary Clark Jr.

The 29-year-old Australian supermodel took to Instagram on Sunday to share a heart-melting snap of Zion strumming the strings of his father's electric guitar.

The family-of-three posed for the picture as they posed on the stage at an empty arena with Nicole pictured holding her headphone-clad son up to Gary's guitar.

Nicole's trademark pins were on display in a figure hugging white dress slashed on one side as she bent a knee to support the weight of her tiny tot.

The leggy glamazon made headlines earlier this year when she posed whilst breastfeeding on the cover of Elle magazine.

She quickly became an international poster girl for the normalisation of breastfeeding, and has since used her widespread fame to advocate for mothers to feed their children however they like.

In an interview with Good Morning America, Nicole revealed that she wasn't expecting the cover to become so controversial.

'There's nothing worse than, as a mother, doing something that's so necessary, like feeding your child, and feeling like somebody could have an opinion about it or somebody's looking at you the wrong way', she said.

'It's a huge part of being a woman and motherhood,' she added.

She also took to Facebook earlier this year to coin the hashtag #normalizebreastfeeding and has since used the term on social media, accompanied by new snaps of herself breastfeeding.
