London Fashion Week is well and truly underway.

And two its brightest stars - Alexa Chung and Daisy Lowe - joined forces as they went along to support their pal Henry Holland at the official House Of Holland show on Saturday.

Style maven Alexa, 31, led the way as she worked a wonderfully simple but effective black ensemble at the London Fashion Week runway show at the Collins Music Hall, which was full of colour and vibrancy, as is often the case with the Brit designer.

She covered her slender frame in a very loose-fitting black dress that hung off her shoulders, held up by two dainty spaghetti straps.

The writer and TV presenter's figure was mostly swathed in the thick fabric of the unique LBD, but she made sure to balance its weight out with her lovely legs on show, and elongated with a pair of vintage-style purple heels with ankle straps.

Her bob-length brunette locks were coiffed into a super-cool style, in tight waves and pushed behind her ears in an effortlessly casual manner.

Meanwhile, her model pal Daisy, 26, opted for a brighter look at the evening fashion show.

The stunning star wore an orange and blue tartan coat, despite being inside the venue for the duration of the event, tied up at the waist, accentuating her enviable figure.

Adding some drama to her ensemble, the collar was a huge, feathery navy affair, covering most of her shoulders and chest.

The daughter of Pearl Lowe and Gavin Rossdale teamed her eye-catching House Of Holland coat - which retails at £750 - with a pair of sexy over-the-knee black leather boots.

Her dark brunette locks were worn down for the occasion, her fringe long and almost falling into her eyes, but she didn't seem bothered by her unruly mane as she posed up a storm with her fashionable friends.

Also at the House Of Holland Spring/Summer 2016 exhibition were more members of his social circle, including X Factor judge Nick Grimshaw, former Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts, model Poppy Delevingne and DJ Leigh Lezark.

Poppy, 29, looked adorable in a denim dress covered with a delicate print and sitting on her knees.

Shiny shirt: Nick Grimshaw showed off his own sense of style in a unique loose-fitting silk shirt in two shades of pale nude

She teamed the dungaree-style garment with a long-sleeved black sweater worn underneath, velvet ankle boots and a seriously fluffy scarf.

And singer Nicola, 29, caught the eye in a bright green shirt with a peasant-style embroidered print on the front, and a tiny black mini-skirt, flashing her legs accordingly as she cuddled up to the designer on his big night.

Colourful designs and strange footwear: Henry joined his models at the end of the show, as they donned his varying ready-to-wear items in vibrant colours and prints... with bizarre shoes

New York-based musician Leigh wore a dress in the same tartan as Daisy's coat, while Nick showed off his unique manly style in a flowing silk shirt in varying shades of nude.

The stylish group made up the front row as Henry Holland's models were sent down the runway in an array of visually stimulating, colourful designs.

The leggy beauties paraded down the catwalk in bizarre shoes, too, that appeared to look like bundles of straw and slightly at odds with the heavily-patterned dresses, skirts and culottes they were showing off.

Later in the evening, busy Alexa took herself along to yet another event, going along to a dinner hosted by Matchesfashion.com to celebrate the launch of Hillier Bartley with designers Katie Hillier and Luella Bartley.

She oozed confidence as she swapped her LBD for a slick navy dress - once again making a show of her enviable shoulders.

The dress was almost to the floor and hugged her physique snugly before falling loosely around her legs.
