The 1982 Atlanta Falcons season was the franchise's 17th season in the National Football League (NFL). It saw the team qualify for the postseason and unofficially win the NFC West for the second time in three years. Due to the players strike, unfortunately, this was not recognized as divisions were dissolved for this one year only. The Falcons were however considered the 1982 first place team when 1983 matchups were decided.
