Finally victors! Julia Louis-Dreyfus' show Veep dethrones Modern Family for Comedy Series at the Emmys 

 Veep is finally taking home an Emmy.

The series dethroned Modern Family in the Outstanding Comedy Series category on Sunday night at the TV awards show that took place in Los Angeles.

The HBO series, starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, has been nominated three times in the past.

Now it has finally picked up a win for its fourth season.

Modern Family has been the victor in the category for the last five years. 

Other nominees were Louie, Parks and Recreation, Silicon Valley, Transparent, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Julia and actor Tony Hale also won  awards for the series.
