Host with the most! Andy Samberg is joined by stunning musician wife Joanna Newsom in flowing pink gown on Emmys red carpet

Andy Samberg's biggest fan was by his side as he prepared to take the stage as host of the 67th Emmy Awards.

The Brooklyn Nine-Nine star was accompanied by his stunning musician wife Joanna Newsom on the red carpet at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The 37-year-old actor looked handsome in his black tuxedo, while his singer-songwriter wife, 33, looked gorgeous in a fashion-forward pink gown.

Samberg's classic tux had a modern twist thanks to a black patterned jacket and grey-and-black polka dot bow tie.

The former SNL writer and star posed proudly next to his wife, after the pair arrived hand-in-hand and sharing a smile as they paused on the red carpet.

The couple, who celebrate their second wedding anniversary on Monday, will no doubt also be breathing a sigh of relief once the high-pressure gig is over.

However, Samberg looked relaxed and confident just hours before taking the stage for his biggest role yet.

Despite the sweltering heat, Newsom looked stunning in a unique, structural pink gown with a glittery floral bodice that highlighted her slim waist.

The fashion-forward gown's light pink bodice flowed into a long train, set over a pleated, sheer longer layer.

The Only Skin singer added a bit of extra sparkle with pretty drop earrings and a bold gold bracelet which she pushed above her wrist.

Newsom wore her long brunette hair back in a long ponytail with a center part, and played up her features with deep pink lipstick.

The creative couple walked hand-in-hand as they arrived at the venue, with Andy placing his hand around his wife's waist as they shared a loving look.

Samberg and Newsom wed in a lavish wedding in Big Sur, California in 2013 after five years of dating.

The host has spent months preparing for the high-profile gig, and has experience hosting awards shows before.

He previously hosted the MTV Movie Awards in 2009, and the Independent Spirit Awards in 2010.

Samberg told The New York Times has has been busy writing jokes for weeks for his big gig, and spoke about the challenge of bringing his comedic edge while still catering to the broad Emmys audience.

'When you take on something big like this, where you have 15-to-20 million people watching across the world, it’s a lot of different senses of humor,' the actor said.

'One person’s watching because they’re like, 'I wonder if 'Mad Men''s going to win' and another person’s like, 'I wonder if Amy Schumer’s going to win.'

The That's My Boy star also shared a photo of himself in his dressing room before venturing out on the red carpet.

He flashed a thumbs up and a small smile in the behind-the-scenes photo, which he posted to the Instagram account of his comedy group The Lonely Island on Sunday.

'Here we go!' he wrote, adding hashtag '#emmys.'
