Joan Rivers remembered at Emmys 2015 after being left out of Oscars In Memoriam tribute

She was controversially left out of the In Memoriam tribute at the Academy Awards in February but the television industry honored the late comedienne and larger-then-life personality at Sunday's Primetime Emmy Awards.

Rivers, who died a year ago, was featured in an extended clip during the slideshow of actors, writers, directors, producers and composers who have passed away since the 2014 Emmys.

The segment opened with director Mike Nichols and closed with Leonard Nimoy as Star Trek's Spock uttering the immortal line: 'Live long and prosper.'

Rivers passed away on September 4, 2014, at the age of 81.

She never regained consciousness after being placed in a medically-induced coma following complications related to a surgical procedure at a Manhattan clinic.

Social media erupted after Rivers was left out of the annual Oscars tribute to Hollywood players who have died.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences said afterwards that there hadn't been room to include everyone in the segment.
