The lady in red! Ariel Winter nails it in a strapless scarlet gown as she plants a kiss on Laurent Claude Gaudette at the Emmy Awards

She usually looks spectacular when she hits the red carpet.

But for the Emmy Awards at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday evening, actress Ariel Winter nailed it.

The 17-year-old Modern Family star stunned in a red Romona Keveza sleeveless dress with an asymmetrical accent that spelled fashion forward.

Ariel is red hot in a Romona Keveza gown

Ariel Winters is quickly in turning into a fashion plate as she works the red carpet in a strikingly sculptural Romona Keveza gown. We would follow Ariel's lead by pairing such a vibrantly colored dress with simple accessories like her golden cuff and art deco styled clutch.

Romona Keveza started as a bridal gown designer in 1999 but her couture cutting and attention to fabric and detail were in high demand for occasions other than weddings. In 2009, she started designing a demi-couture ready-to-wear and quickly gathered a loyal following that included Angelina Jolie, Sofia Vergara, and Lady Gaga to name a few.

If you head over to her Atelier in Rockefeller Center you can pick this up yourself but if you're looking for some more affordable and equally sexy alternatives, check out our choices below. Splurge on a modernly cut Cushnie et Ochs dress or go for that same streamlined tailoring as Badgley Mischka's bargain dress for under $300.

Winter had her hair parted on the side and her locks had soft waves that made her look ready for her close up.

The Sofia The First star brought her beau Laurent Claude Gaudette, who looked dashing in a suit.

The actress didn't mind planting a kiss on the handsome man. The two looked very in harmony as they posed away.

On Friday Ariel stepped out in her first low-cut dress since her breast reduction surgery.

The teen star underwent the procedure in June, dropping down from a 32-F to a 34-D and was very vocal about the process.

The actress showed off the results at the 2015 Entertainment Weekly Pre-Emmy Party at Fig & Olive on Melrose Place, before heading on to Variety's gig at West Hollywood’s Gracias Madre.

She wore a see-through white light lacy dress, its thick black straps separating her bare back from her stooping neckline.

She matched it with a pair of strappy black heels, and wore her long dark hair back in a pony tail.

The TV star previously revealed she went under the knife on June 4, having suffered with back and neck pain through much of her teen years because of her F cups.

But last month she told Glamour.com she felt 'like a new person' since the surgery.

'I really couldn't stand up straight for a long period of time. It started to hurt so bad that I couldn't take the pain. My neck was hurting so bad and I actually had some problems with my spine,' she said.
